Wallace, Ind -- William "Tom" Goodin, 79 of Venice, Florida a former resident of Wallace died at noon Tuesday Aug 17, 1976 at his home. Death was due to a heart attack. Born June 24, 1897 in Parke County, he was the son of John and Eva Sampson Goodin. On April 26, 1947, he married Stella Hybarger, who survives. Mr. Goodin had retired in 1966 as owner and operator of the Claisler Machine Shop of Indianapolis. Since that time, he had resided in Florida in the winters and in Wallace in the summers. He was a member of the Freedom Congregational Church, Masonic Lodge 495 and the Low 12 Club, all of Wallace and the Venice CB Club. Other survivors include a brother, Estin of Kingman and a sister, Mrs. Susie Stonebraker of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Charles. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral home in Waynetown with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiatng. Burial will be in Wolfe Creek Cemetery near Wallace. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. Masonic memorial services will be there at 8 p.m. Friday. - kbz
